Subaru Mastermind: Engine Machinist & Builder Wanted!

We're searching for a true Subaru guru, a master machinist and engine builder to join our elite team and breathe new life into the hearts of these legendary boxer engines.

In this critical role, you'll perform a complete spectrum of engine machining and rebuilding tasks:

• Disassemble, inspect, machine and reassemble Subaru engines and engine components with exacting precision and attention to detail.
• Hone cylinders, bore cylinders, resurface heads, balance crankshafts, and perform other critical machining tasks to factory and above specifications.
• Diagnose and rectify machine and build issues, utilizing sophisticated measuring tools and the latest state of the Rottler CNC and manual equipment.
• Blueprint, Balance crankshafts and rods to ensure smooth, vibration-free operation. Fit pistons and rings.
• Assemble OEM and high-performance engines using aftermarket components and performance upgrades.

Possess an encyclopedic knowledge of Subaru engines:

• Understand the nuances of different Subaru models, years, and engine variations.
• Know the performance potential of each engine and recommend modifications and procedure for optimal power and reliability.
• Stay up to date on the latest Subaru engine technologies and engine machine and build methods!

Be a meticulous craftsman with a passion for quality:

• Take pride in your work and insist on exceeding perfection in every step of the rebuilding process.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Use and understand MRP software.
• Supervise and train machinists and builders.
• Communicate effectively with technicians, staff and customers, keeping them informed of progress and potential challenges.

If you bring:

• 5+ years of experience as an engine machinist or builder.
• Extensive experience with Subaru engines, preferably across various models and years.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machining centers, honing machines, valve machining center and other engine building and rebuilding equipment.
• Strong understanding of engine theory and principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• A proactive and collaborative attitude.
• An excellent understanding of metrology
