Blue Star Works is a specialized Subaru engine machining and remanufacturing facility. We are seeking a dedicated Machine Shop Helper to join our team. This role encompasses cleaning, inspecting, and streamlining shop organization, with the direct potential to advance into a Subaru Engine Machinist career.

 

We are searching for an energetic, dependable professional to support our elite team. In this immediate, entry-level opening, you will collaborate with our lead machinist, master professional shop operations, and embark on your journey toward becoming a Subaru machining expert.

 

The Role & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Machinist on complex tasks
  • Maintain meticulous shop cleanliness and organization
  • Organize and maintain inventory as needed
  • Deliver and pickup product in the valley
  • Assist with packing and shipping
  • Perform routine machinery maintenance and care
  • Safely operate forklift and other various mechanized equipment

  • Strategically organize engine and their components
  • Clean and degrease engine components
  • Disassemble and inspect used engines
  • Disassemble and inspect used engine components
  • Operate pressure wash, soda blast, and hot tank systems
  • Facilitate the removal and installation of engines from vehicles

 

Support the Lead Machinist with material handling, job staging, and workflow management. Candidates must be capable of lifting 75 pounds and thrive in a demanding, high-activity, and hot shop environment.

Ensure tooling, hardware, and raw materials are meticulously staged to maintain peak team productivity.
